Adam Kinzinger's take on the FRP infighting, what to expect next, and the possibility of a consensus speaker. What he doesn't address is the impact of the motion to vacate rule.

Hi all. I am currently using feedly.com as a news aggregator. It looks like it allows me to read articles that I usually cannot access because they are behind a paywall. They have a free version on the web and a pro version at $6/month with more features.

One issue is that they do not load all the articles from all the feeds you select when they first appear online. Some of the feeds only do batch pushes so the time stamps you see are related to the push times and not necessarily to the first online availability so interpreting timelines can be hard work.

But if you want to get the freshest takes this is the best I've found so far for researching.

Another great post expanding on the tri-division of the former Republican Party. I do wish Adam Kinzinger had stayed for another round, but I do understand his reluctance, it's hard to see your lifelong beliefs shattered by a bunch of half-witted fascists.

Good morning! I found Kinzinger's ideas about a consensus speaker from the FRP interesting but flawed unless the Republicans get rid of the motion to vacate rule first. Otherwise, Gaetz will just pull the metaphorical fire alarm again and the chamber will grind to a halt.

I still think the best outcome is to convince enough of the remnants that they are already on the MAGA primary hit list and appeal to their patriotism and throw in some sweeteners, so that they vote for Jeffries. It is the only solution that provides a stable majority coalition. The infighting and backbiting and blame games in the FRP will logjam any bills that come out of Committees that are still headed by the chaos and grievance factions. McCarthy gave the chaos faction too much power.

Thanks, Georgia. Does getting rid of the motion to vacate rule take a straight up or down vote or is it more complicated?
